Q: What kind of films are you looking for?
A: We are looking for projects by indie filmmakers within various genres such as horror and comedy. We post updates on titles in development on our home page. This is an indie movie series, so we understand the low-budget and no-budget situations faced by indie filmmakers. We want to exhibit short films that have achieved a good quality level in production value, story-telling, and acting despite the limitations of minimal resources. Good stories and solidly edited/produced projects do not necessarily have to have a Hollywood Theatrical polish.
Q: How do I go about submitting a short film for consideration for inclusion in the Indie Movie Masters Series?
A: The first step is to contact us via email at info at indiemoviemasters.com Be sure to include links to any trailers that you might have online, as well as a description of your short film and synopsis. You are then advised to send a DVD to the following address: Indie Movie Masters, LLC 2702 Braden Way Lexington, Kentucky 40509
Q: If my film is selected, do you own the rights?
A: No, we do not tie your film up at all. We have non-exclusive agreements that license your short film for our specific releases and broadcasts that are done under the Indie Movie Masters banner. You may still exhibit and sell your short film elsewhere, as long as it is not exhibited or sold under or using the Indie Movie Masters name.
Q: Can I make any money?
A: We cannot guarantee how a particular title will sell, but as we keep our costs very contained, it will only require a modest number of units sold to begin to bring a return. All participating film projects are allocated an appropriate share of the net profits of the volume that they appear on. Statements and any monies owed will be dispersed on a quarterly basis following the official release date of the project.
